July, 2007. Davis Bioscience Group is planning a special meeting on the
development of the infrastructure for nutritional genomic database
management and analysis in San Francisco, CA.

November 20, 2006. Davis Bioscience Group attended the grand opening ceremonies of the California Wellbeing Institute in Westlake Village, California.
September 19, 2006. Dr. Raymond Rodriguez represented Davis Bioscience Group at the Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo sponsored by the American Dietetics Association in Honolulu Hawaii. Dr. Rodriguez made a presentation entitled: Nutritional Genomics: Genetics and Epigenetic Implications for Nutrition and Health.
August 2005. The Davis Bioscience Group 2004 Annual Meeting will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year: "Drowning in Information, Starving for Knowledge - Mining and Managing Biodata in the 21st Century."
September 30, 2003. Davis Bioscience Group was invited
to attend the Governor's Life Sciences Summit at the M.I.N.D.
Institute in Sacramento California. Representatives from
Davis Science Group participated in panels discussing the
role of venture capital and intellectual property development
in the life sciences industry.
August 13, 2003. Davis Bioscience Group held its annual
meeting at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The theme
of this year's meeting was "Future Trends in Biomedical Research
and Health Care in the Post Genomic Era." Speakers discussed
the ethical, legal, and societal implications of the human
genome project. Issues of health disparities, genetic privacy
and commercialization of the fruits of basic research were
also discussed.
  
August 22, 2002. Davis Bioscience Group will hold
its annual meeting at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This year, Davis Bioscience Group will be joined by its venture
capital partners, JAIC America Inc.
August 4, 2002. Dr. Rodriguez will speak at the Plant
Biology 2002 Symposium on the topic, "Transgenic Crops: Frankenfood
or a New Paradigm for Improving Global Health and Nutrition?"
The talk is sponsored by the Committee on Minority Affairs
of the American Society of Plant Biologists and will take
place at 12:00 p.m. in Governor's Square 14 of the Adam's
Mark Hotel in Denver Colorado.
May 6-7, 2002. Davis Bioscience Group principals will
attend and participate in the Golden State Venture Capital
Conference and Entrepreneur Expo, Doubletree Hotel, Rohnert
Park, California.
May 6-7, 2002. Davis Bioscience Group and JAIC/Davis
Bioscience Funds will sponsor and participate in a session
entitled: "Trends and Opportunities in Biotechnology
and Life Sciences" at the Golden State Venture Capital
Conference and Entrepreneur Expo at the Doubletree Hotel,
Rohnert Park, California.
April 26, 2002. Dr. Rodriguez served as a panelist
for the: 2002 Patent Law Symposium - "The Patent Office
Comes to Sacramento Valley." The event was sponsored
by the Intellectual Property Section of the Sacramento Bar
Association and the UC Davis School of Law. The topic of the
panel was the current state of life science patents: Is life
patentable? The symposium featured Stephen G. Kunin, Deputy
Commissioner of Patent Examination Policy for the United States
Patent and Trademark Office as keynote speaker.
February 11-12, 2002. Davis Bioscience Group principals
will participate in a Venture Boot Camp for Economic Developers,
Hyatt Regency Capitol Park, Sacramento, California.
February 11-12, 2002. Davis Bioscience Group will
teach a session on Bioentrepreneurship at the Golden State
Venture Capital Conference and Entrepreneur Expo, Hyatt Regency
Capitol Park in Sacramento, California.
February 11-12, 2002. Davis Bioscience Group and JAIC/Davis
Bioscience Fund will sponsor and participate in a session
entitled "Trends and Opportunities in Biotechnology and
Life Sciences" at the 3rd Annual Golden State Capital
Network Venture Capital Conference at the Hyatt Regency in
Sacramento, California.
November 28, 2001. Professor Ray Rodriguez will present
a public lecture on behalf of Davis Bioscience Group at the
University of Ottawa Canada. The title of the presentation
is: "Phytofabrication of Therapeutics and Nutraceuticals
- The Next Trend in Agricultural Biotechnology."
November 28, 2001. Terry Carlone will participate
in a panel discussion on raising angel and venture capital
and growing early-stage companies at the Piccadilly Inn-University
in Fresno, California, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The panel
is sponsored by the Golden State Capital Network.
November 2, 2001. Davis Bioscience Group presented
"Three Things Angel Investors Want" at the From
Bench to Boardroom: An Introduction to the Business of Biotechnology
for Academics Conference at the Beckman Foundation Center
in Irvine California. The conference was sponsored by California
State University Fullerton, the University of California,
Irvine and the Orange County Biotechnology Alliance.
October, 14-16, 2001. Davis Bioscience Group and JAIC/Davis
Bioscience Funds sponsored a session entitled "Trends
and Opportunities in Biotechnology and Life Sciences"
at the Silver and Gold Venture Capital Conference/Entrepreneur
Expo in Lake Tahoe, California. The conference is one of four
conference sponsored each year by the Golden State Capital
Network.
