If you are an investor:

Davis Bioscience Group's goals are long-term capital appreciation. We invest principally in seed and early stage bioscience companies that offer substantial potential for high growth over the long term.

The life sciences industry has strong growth potential driven by the need for new medical treatments, improved diagnostic tools and more efficient information processing systems. We believe the current landscape of rapid technological and commercial expansion in the life sciences industry has created, and will continue to create, an attractive environment for venture capital, private equity and structured investments. The recent completion of the sequencing of the human genome has ignited an explosive race to discover treatments based on this new knowledge. In addition, the large and growing elderly population in the United States and other industrialized countries is increasing the demand for high quality products. Major opportunities exist for new technology to improve the quality and reduce the total cost of care. We focus on seed and early-stage investments that we believe should provide the Fund with more equity per dollar invested - at lower valuations - increasing the upside potential for our Fund's investors.

We also conduct due diligence for other venture capital funds or investors who need to analyze and understand discrete investments in the life sciences field.

Davis Bioscience Group's principals (seasoned entrepreneurs and managers in their own right) participate actively in the Fund's portfolio companies by providing strategic and management counsel to assist the portfolio companies in maximizing their potential. Our extensive relationships throughout the life sciences industry and investment community also can help facilitate strategic initiatives such as collaborations and partnerships, assist with attracting key employees, and help obtain next-stage investments for portfolio companies.
